Biography
I started doing caricatures while in art college during the summer at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky Ohio in 1990. Over the years I have worked seasonally at Myrtle Beach, Miami and resorts in the Dominican Republic. In 1992 I moved from Columbus Ohio to the Washington DC area and began doing event/party caricatures for a handful of entertainment companies and it just kept expanding as the DC area grew. The standard in this area being pretty realistic big heads with little body with activities. That is changing a bit as people are seeing crazier heads and shoulder drawings on Youtube. Event caricatures is now my “full time” job but I still do miscellaneous decorative painting projects that come up. I know how to gold leaf, plaster, paint murals, silk screen your real estate sign and etch your tomb stone. I’m really, really loving doing digital caricature gigs.
