Sam's gypsy, bohemian lifestyle is a direct rebellion of his sterile childhood in suburbia, and an early corruption by Mad mag., Kerouac and the Beats and Underground Comix.

After a cloistered youth he found liberation and beauty in the Line of the Caricaturist and quickly became a professional Face Hussler in 1980, never again working a Real Job.

The open road beckoned and Sam found a way to support his insatiable Wander Lust. After 20 years of Slingin' Xylene and spraying Krylon in 50 states and 5 provinces, (Japan, England and Israel) the Road has taken it's toll and he now concentrates his scribbles in the Pacific Northwest, and Colorado.

Also a passionate Cartoonist, Filmmaker and satirist, Sam seems to enjoy skewering the human condition and saute-ing it with garlic and onions.

As we speak he straddles the fence between greatness and compete worthlessness, deciding which side to jump into. And his modesty prevents him from admitting that he is me....
