The artist formerly known as Rhoda Grossman began her career drawing cartoons and caricatures in Chicago. In the mid-seventies she was the resident caricature artist at the Playboy Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Relocating to the San Francisco area in 1981, Rhoda developed a reputation for speed and snappy patter at private parties and conventions. She also did humorous illustration for corporate publications. In1989 Rhoda became fascinated with computer art, and spent the next several years developing skill with digital media. She was a regular attraction at several computer graphics trade-shows in the '90s, creating electronic caricatures to the amazement of conference attendees. She now offers hosts and party planners a choice between traditional and high-tech caricature. Since 1997 Rhoda has taught digital painting and written about a dozen books on the creative use of pixel-based software. Her latest book is "Digital Painting Fundamentals with Corel Painter 11."
