At the age of five Ray did his first caricature. His subject was a visiting friend of his parents. Rather than receiving praise or payment, he was asked (by giggling parents) to go to his room and reflect on his dastardly deed. Undaunted, that experience sent him on a path he continues to travel.
Over the years, Ray has caricatured thousands of faces. As an award winning art director, illustrator and cartoonist for the Minneapolis StarTribune newspaper, he has had hundreds of challenging opportunities to caricature people from all walks of life, from the rich and famous to countless greeting card creations.
Ray is available for a variety of events, company parties, proms, birthdays, sports events and art fairs. He works live (and fast) or by using photos.
