As a commercial artist by trade, Mark began his work in layout and design and paste-up (pre-computers!) before moving into magazine design and computer graphic design. In his early career, he drew a host of products for black-and-white bromide reproduction in newspapers and catalogues. He then reproduced pictorial headings and diagrams and illos for magazine work.
Mark drifted into an administrative career but always maintained his design work, namely black-and-white art and caricature, in which he’s always had a passion – a form of social commentary, if you like.
His company name is Tippettures – Caricaturist to the suburban stars!
