Since 1980, John Doherty has made his living as a caricaturist. He spent 16 years as House Caricaturist of The Bull & Finch ("Cheers") Pub in Boston. Doherty has drawn everyone from U.S. Senators, presidential candidates, ambassadors to members of the rock bands Aerosmith, The Grateful Dead & Hot Tuna. He has twice been honored by the NCN (1995 & 1998). His work has appeared in The Boston Globe & Mass High Tech, among other publications.
As a live caricaturist, John offers two styles: black & white "brush line" head shot caricature (about 16 per hour) or full color with hobby or sport motif (10 per hour).
