Dale Axelrod began his professional sketching career doing quick portraits on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City NJ (1967). After a few seasons in AC, he advanced to Cape Cod, tackling pastel portraits on Provincetown's famed Commerical Street. Dale moved to San Francisco (1971) --- added political cartooning to his repertoire (1976) --- and expanded his expertise in fast portraiture to even-faster caricature. Current focus: Entertainment sketching at special events.
Portrait work requires capturing an accurate, yet favorable likeness. Dale has adopted a similar approach to caricature, developing a true likeness by "targeting" his subject's strongest features in a positive, fun-loving way. The result? --- Dale's clients and guests take home a souvenir of your event they'll cherish for years to come.
