Celestia has drawn caricatures since childhood and has been getting paid for it since 1992. Upon graduating from Johns Hopkins University, she won the Lois Sudler Prize in the Arts and later trained with caricature legend Irv "Quickdraw" Finifter, New Yorker cartoonist Tom “Chalk” Chalkley, and Gary “Toonboy” Smith. Despite years of hard work and dedication, she never got a cool nickname. She’s been a member of the NCN since 1996 and served two terms as secretary-treasurer. She and her partner in crime, Sundini, airbrush caricatures at Planet Hollywood Resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

At parties, Celestia renders black and white caricatures in 3-5 minutes. She has delighted guests at events ranging from black-tie affairs to the most casual picnic. Her caricature sculptures are one-of-a-kind gifts and can serve as wedding cake toppers. For studio work, she delivers in both traditional and digital mediums, and has experience producing 3-D prototypes for commercial sculpture.
