BRENT BROWN is a native resident of the NC mountains near Asheville and Hendersonville. He has worked in illustration, cartooning, graphic design and as a caricaturist for over 25 years. He is a Leo, married since 1985, has two children and upcoming orthodontist, car insurance and college tuition bills to pay as a result (oh and a lifetime of love and happiness, of course).
A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, and Great Lakes Navy Hospital Corps School and several traffic schools, he has worked as a commercial artist at local publications and advertising agencies; for local ABC TV affilate, WLOS-TV; and marketing firms as both a staff employee and free-lancer. He has had work published locally as well as nationally in MAD Magazine.

His illustrations have been commissioned for book covers by Torquere Press as well as story illustrations for webzines and independent authors. His comic strip, "The Vast Wasteland" was distributed by Continental Features/Continental News Service of San Diego. His weekly cartoon, "Land of This Guy," can be seen in the Asheville, NC Mountain Xpress weekly free alt paper. He also creates all the customer caricatures that adorn the walls of local restaurant, "Frankie Bones" in Arden, as well as three of them at the Frankie Bones in Hilton Head, SC.

Additionally, Brent does work as a caricaturist on a commissioned hourly basis for all types of public, corporate and private events. He's heard the "she doesn't have a wart on her nose" joke a million times, so don't think you just thought of it.
