Lee Suckow began drawing caricatures for his high school yearbook in 1954. He continued caricaturing as a hobby during his college years and well into his career as a public school elementary teacher. In the late 1970s he moved from “hobbyist” to “professional” by working as a quick-sketch caricaturist at summer art fairs. Soon he was asked
to draw at picnics, parties, wedding receptions, and corporate events. Local businessmen hired him to draw caricatures of employees and customers, and folks had him create large caricature posters to honor people on their birthdays, at retirement dinners, and for other special purposes. He’s ready, able, and willing to do the same for YOU!
Lee joined the National Caricaturist Network in 1993 and at the moment is eager to make the drive across Michigan and down into Ohio to participate in the 2009 Convention of ISCA, the International Society of Caricature Artists.
